It reached a peak of #5 in the UK charts, and the song also helped Madonna achieve the record for becoming the first female artist to have eight UK top-five singles in one calendar year.

In the UK, the single had a limited-edition star shaped picture disc to tie in with the Christmas release date.

The song was written by Andrea LaRusso and Peggy Stanziale, with Nile Rodgers producing.
